Resilience

Volunteers from Felpham’s emergency resilience group have been responding to calls for help and support since 2015. Now it is looking for more volunteers to join its team. Could you spare some time? Do you have skills which might help your community in an emergency?

The group supports the emergency services when they need it the most; by carrying out vital secondary roles and allowing them to focus directly on dealing with the emergency.

Volunteers carry out a variety of tasks, examples of which include advising residents that they need to evacuate; providing the location of a welfare reception centre; transport options; advising people of impending flooding and assisting with urgent medical prescription collections when needed to name a few.

More volunteers are now needed. If you’re interested and want to know more please complete the from below and we will be in touch.
