From Monday 14 April to Sunday 27 April, our contractors, I&G Contractors Limited, will be carrying out reinforcement of the gas pipes on Lidsey Road A29 in Woodgate.  This essential work will involve the reinforcing the gas network to ensure we can maintain the increased demand for gas in the area and ensure we can continue to deliver a safe and efficient gas supplies to the wider community.

Our engineers will be working on the gas main on Lidsey Road between the junction of Hook Lane and Oak Tree Lane.  Due to the location of the gas pipe in the road, it will be necessary to close the road between these junctions. 

This closure will mean:

• No through vehicle access along Lidsey Road between the junctions of Hook Lane and Oak Tree Road.  A signed diversion route will be in place for road users.
• Vehicles access for residents living in the closure will be maintained – access required south of the level crossing will be maintained from the south, all access North of the level Crossing will be from the north end of the road.  No vehicle traffic will be allowed over the Level Crossing. Our site team will keep residents informed about access as work progresses.
• Woodgate Road vehicle access will be via the southern end of the closure.
• Oak Tree Lane vehicle access will be via the Southern end of the closure.

Bus routes will be affected – we’d advise passengers to speak to their bus provider for the latest information on changes to service. 

Bin collection days will remain unchanged unless you are advised otherwise by your service provider.

Emergency responders; Police/Fire and Ambulance will all be informed about the closure and access arrangements to properties within the closure. 

We understand how disruptive road closures are for the community, our engineers will be working extended hours and weekends to ensure they get these works completed as quickly and as safely as possible.
