Improvements at Felpham Community Hall are helping the environment and making the hall better for people who use it.
Felpham Parish Council has recently had solar panels installed to part of the roof of the hall in Meaden Way as part of its drive to be green and help reduce running costs.
New sound absorption panels have been fitted to the interior walls of the centre’s main hall with some also suspended from the ceiling. These are designed to reduce echoing internally and improve acoustics for hall users as well help reduce some noise levels externally.
Council chairman Dave Smart said “These projects are part of our continual improvement plan to make the hall an asset for the whole of Felpham. They have been paid for with money received from Arun District Council when the parish council took over the running of the Community Centre.”
